Prabhu Deva is a rich but irresponsible son. Sent out into the world on his own by his father to learn the value of money and responsibilities in life. He comes to Chennai and meets beautiful Neha who lives in the slum and a little orphan girl named Julie. While everything is going smooth, Julie falls ill so Prabhudeva steals money from a guy called Madhavan played by Murali. Murali who is battling a deadly disease seriously falls ill because Prabhu Deva steals his medicine along with the money. To save this guy Prabhu Deva stays in a lawyer's place, there the lawyer's daughter Laila falls in love with Prabhu Deva. But soon he gets convicted for his crime. Does Prabhu Deva learn his lesson and come out unscathed forms the rest of the movie Alli Thantha Vannam.
